AN ORDINANCE REQURING THE NEW YORK CENTRAL RAILROAD
COMPANY, TIT NEW RERSEY, INDIANA & ILLINOIS RAIL -
ROAD COMPANY AND THE INDIANA NORTHERN RAILWAY
COMPANY TO MAINTAIN AN ELECTRIC STREET LIGHT AT
THEIR CROSSING AT WALNUT STREET NORTH OF THE INTER-
SECTION OF WALNUT STREET WITH INDIANA AVENUE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
Section 1
That the New York Central Railroad Companjj ^the
New Jereey, Indiana & Illinois Railroad Company and the
Indiana Northern Railway Company be and the same are hereby
ordered and required to keep and maintain an electric
street light at the crossing of their tracks over Walnut
Street, ju2t North of the intersection of said Walnut
Street and Indiana Avenue in the city of South Bend; and
that said street light be of six thousand (6,000) lumen
output and be kept burning during the entire night time of
each twenty -four (24) hours.
Section 2
That any person, firm or corporation who violates
any provision of this ordinance, shall be fined in any sum
not exceeding twenty -five ($25.00) dollars; and each day's
violation thereof shall constitute a separate and distinct
offense.
Section 3.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoiption and legal publication.
