MAYOR DIRECTS CITY FLAGS AT HALF -STAFF TO HONOR REV. THEODORE HESBURGH
Mayor Pete Buttigieg directs City of South Bend flags at municipal facilities be flown at half -
staff on Tuesday, March 3 and Wednesday, March 4 to honor the memorial services taking place
on those dates for Rev. Theodore Hesburgh.
Father Hesburgh led the University of Notre Dame for 35 years and transformed it into one of
the nation's most prestigious academic institutions. He died late Thursday at the age of 97.
City of South Bend flags at City properties are to be flown at half -mast from 5:00 pm on
Monday, March 2 until 8:00 am on Thursday, March 5.
