GUS MACKER BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT RETURNS FOR SOUTH BEND 150
The world's largest 3 -on -3 basketball tournament will return to South Bend as part of the City's
150th birthday weekend celebration. The Gus Macker Basketball Tournament, once a popular
downtown fixture, will be held May 23 -24.
In conjunction with the Downtown South Bend First Friday theme of March Madness, the
tournament will offer onsite registration, Gus Macker merchandise giveaways, and a special
appearance by the MackerMan mascot, from 5 -8pm this Friday, March 6 at the South Bend
Chocolate Caf6.
This year's tournament will be limited to 250 teams. The entry fee for a four - player team is
$150, and if teams register this Friday onsite, they will save the $8 processing fee for online
registrations. The mail -in registration deadline is May 1, and the online registration deadline is
May 4.
