South Bend" will host its fourth event Saturday, April 18 with two free presentations at the St. Joseph County Public Library, 304 S. Main St. This month's theme is libraries. From 10:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Library's Colfax Auditorium, "Preserving Photographic Memories" will take place. Learn to preserve your own photographic memories with guest speaker Joan Hostetler of Heritage Photo and Research Services. Hostetler will discuss identifying historic photographs, preserving and organizing family archives, and digitizing photographs. From 2:30 to 4:30 pm, Hostetler will conduct a "Historical Photo Scan -a- Thon." Participants are encouraged to bring photos from any time period in Indiana history to be scanned for "The Indiana Album," an Indiana Bicentennial project with the goal of copying, cataloging, and sharing historic photographs from all eras around the state. In addition to these events, the SB 150 "Discover Libraries Scavenger Hunt" is taking place now through Saturday.
