MAYOR BUTTIGIEG TO MARK NATIONAL TAKE YOUR CHILD TO WORK DAY
Mayor Pete Buttigieg will mark National Take Your Child to Work Day on Thursday, April 23
from 8:45 to 9:15 am with a continental breakfast and welcome address in the Mayor's
Conference Room, 14th floor, County -City Building. From 9:15 to 10:30 am, children of City of
South Bend employees are invited to go to work with their parents or guardians.
The goal is to introduce both girls and boys to the workplace, and to encourage children to
explore various careers at an early age, and empower them to think imaginatively about their
family, work, and community lives.
The City of South Bend's program is limited to children in kindergarten through 8th grades. City
employees are encouraged to bring their daughters, sons, grandchildren, nieces, or nephews.
