VOLUNTEER TO SUPPORT SOUTH BEND 150
South Bend 150 is seeking over 1,000 volunteers to assist with birthday weekend events on
Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24.
The celebration, over Memorial Day weekend, will feature a garden on the Jefferson Bridge, the
Gus Macker basketball tournament, a Kids Activity Zone, a Taste of South Bend food festival,
an outdoor concert by celebrated pianist and singer - songwriter Ben Folds, and more.
Volunteers must commit to one, three -hour shift during the weekend. Community groups, civic
organizations, non - profits, school and church based - groups are encouraged to serve as a team,
naming a single point of contact.
Every person who volunteers will receive a free SB 150 volunteer T -shirt and is eligible to
receive cash prizes in conjunction with "Serve South Bend" in partnership with TCU.
Volunteers are also eligible to win complimentary tickets for the Zip Line, Go Karts, Hot Air
Balloon ride, Helicopter ride, and Ben Folds concert.
Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older, and must attend one of three mandatory orientation
sessions.
