A volunteer community service program, the Task Force is open to all students in 9th through 12th grades that attend school within the city of South Bend. The City's Youth Task Force provides an opportunity for youths to make a positive impact in their community. Members will design and drive an advocacy program targeting the issues youth face in their local community. Activities of the Task Force include volunteering at local organizations and providing feedback and recommendations on outreach to local youth. The application is available online at southbendin.gov / students /content /south - bend - youth -task- force and is due by 5pm on Wednesday, July 1. The process is competitive and members will be chosen to reflect the diversity of South Bend.
