SOUTH BEND TO HOST MEN'S WORLD FASTBALL FINALS
The 2015 International Softball Congress World Tournament will be held at South Bend's
Belleville Softball Complex, 1300 S. Mayflower Rd., August 8 -16. The Hill United Chiefs, from
Six Nations, Ontario, Canada, will attempt to win a third consecutive world championship in
men's fastball (fast pitch softball).
The tournament welcomes 54 teams, with players and visitors from United States, Canada,
Argentina, Australia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Great Brittan,
Japan, New Zealand, and Venezuela.
The Belleville Softball Complex, which has been awarded the James Farrell Award of
Excellence 14 times, will feature action on five diamonds and concessions with food and beer
available.
"We are thrilled to host these world -class competitors," says Phil St. Clair, Executive Director,
Parks and Recreation. "The International Softball Congress represents the sport's best in
competition and sportsmanship and the Belleville complex offers a top -notch venue for players
and fans. We're looking forward to a great tournament."
Weekly passes are available for $50. Daily passes are $10. Children 12 years old and younger are
