AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REGULATION AND
PROHIBI I N OF C NT S S OF HU2;+�N ENI�URANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana:
SECTION 1. That no public contests of human endurance for
monger period than six (6) hours shall be held within the
city of South Bend, Indiana, unless a permit is obtained
therefor from the Department of Public Health of said city.

SECTION 2. Any person o ng aeon of human endurance
whicT shall extend beyond the period of one day or engaging
in such contest shall first procure a license at the office
of the Controller of th C' o S�o�uth Bend, which license
shall be at the rate of `t h- o7.lars (U5.00) per day for
each day during the duration of the contest.
SECTION 3. Any person violating this ordinance shall be
ink nom exceeding Fifty Dollars ($50.00), to which may be
added imprisonment in the County jail not exceeding ten
days for each offence, and each additional day shall be
considered an additional v tion.
SECTION 4. If anv t ction of this ordinance shall

SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
