Committee Members Present: Karen White, Valerie Schey, Derek Dieter, Dr. Fred Ferlic Citizen Members: Valerie Mora -Kraus Other Council: Tim Scott, Henry Davis (XAB), Dr. David Varner, Oliver Davis (AB), Gavin Ferlic Others Present: John Murphy, Kathy Cekanski - Farrand, John Voorde Agenda: Bill No. 15 -63 Approval of Scrap Metal Licenses Quarterly Financial Update from Administration & Finance The Personnel and Finance Committee was called to order by the Chair Karen White who noted all committee members were present to discuss the two items on the agenda. The first item bill 15 -63 requested Council approval for the issuance of six licenses. According to the Ordinance Violation Bureau's protocols these applications met all approvals of the City departments inspecting these operations. City Clerk John Voorde made the brief presentation. There were no questions. Derek Dieter moved to forward favorably. Dr. Ferlic seconded and all approved. City Controller John Murphy presented the next item, the quarterly update of City finances. Mr. Murphy provided the Council a progress report (attached). Valerie Schey questioned the costs associated with the vacant and abandoned housing program. She requested an accounting of the source, amount, and total costs of the South Bend Heritage's housing rehab program. Kathy Cekanski- Farrand, the Council Attorney, made a short presentation of forms she developed intended to be filed with bills submitted by the Administration or Council.
