Approved and signed by me City Clerk n NUMBER AV 76 AN ORDINANCE CONCihL!ING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana. SECTION 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation engaged in the selling of alcoholic beverages to be consumed upon the premises iwhere the same are sold, to sell, barter, exchange or give away any alcoholic beverage between the hours of 1:00 o'clock A.M., and 6:00 o ►clock A.M., on any da of the week except Sunday morning', when the e4g hou shall e,not, 1 �_t' an :00 of clock A.M., d the a ear han IY:6X9 of clocl�� an g �c,,�gp�t� :.i�eti� Yea s Day morning w}ieri the ag V '"- '�5T`a�EI be not later than 3:00 o1clock A.M. SECTION 2, It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corpora- tion engaged in selling alcoholic beverages to be used and consumed upon the premises where the same are sold to permit the drinking or consumption of such beverages upon such premises'during the hours when the sale of alcoholic beverages upon said premises is prohibited as provided in Section`=1, %of this Ordinance. SECTION 3. - The provisions of Section 1 and 2 of this Ordinance shall apply not only to all points within the limits of the City of South Bond but also any point beyond but within four (4)miles of the limits of the City of South Bend unless such point beyond the City Limits is within the limits of another municipal corporation, in wrath latter event it shall not apply. The hours mentioned herein shall conform with and be the time which may then be in use in the said City of South Bend, whether such time be Standard Time or Standard Daylight Saving Tifae. SECTION 4. - The provisions of this Ordinance shall not apply to breweries and wholesalers of alcoholic beverages. SECTION 5. - Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this Ordinance shall be fined in any sum not exceed- ing Three Hundred Dollars (3300.00) to which may be add- ed imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not ex- ceeding sixty (60) days and each day's violation shall constitute a separate offense.
