AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT ENTER-
ED INTO BETWEEN THE BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AND THE PETER
PIRSCH AND SONS CO. OF TCNOSHA,
WISCONSIN, FOR THE PURCHASE
OF A 1,000 GALLON FIRE EN*
GINS, MODEL 16H FOR $11,
250.00 and APPROPRIATING
THE SUM OF $3,750 FROM
THE GENERAL FUND OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND FOR THE DOWN
PAYMENT OF SAID
PUMPER.
BE IT ORDAINED bythe Common Council of the City of? South
Bend:
Section 1 - That the action of the Board of Public Safety
of the City of South Bend, dated August 5, 1935, in enter-
ing into a contract to purchase a 1,000 Gallon Fire Engine,
Model 16H9 200 Horse Power motor, from the Peter Pirsch
and Sons Co. for the sum of $11,250 for the Fire Depart-
ment of the City of South Bend, being all things ratified
and confirmed.
Said proposal of the Peter Pirsch and Sons, Co. being in
the following terms and conditions, to -wits- see copy .
attached hereto.
Section 11 - That the sum of #3,750.00 be and the agne'is
hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the City of
South Bend to Account numbered Q -17 ah ich is the account

An ordinance ratifying the purchase of a new fire engine
and appropriating the sum of $3,750 forthe down payment
on said engeine. Continued,
being established forthe initial payment of said Fire
Engine, above referred to.
Section 111 - This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect £ rom and after its passage, legal publication,
public hearing and signature by the Mayor.
I reccommend the passage of the foregoing ordinance.
