ORDINANCE NO. 3114
AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING AND APPROVING THE ACTION OF THE BOARD OF
PUBLIC WORKS OF TIT CITY OF SOUTH BEND, ACTING AS THE BOARD
OF WATER TRUSTEES FOR SAID CITY, UNDER DATE OF ?4AY 17th,
1935, IN MAKING GRANTS TO THE CITY OF SOUTIi BEND,AND
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF SAID GRANT, AND TIE
CONTROLLER TO TAI SUCH STEPS AS MAY BE NECES-
SARY TO COMPLETE THE TERMS OF THE GRANT.

Be it ordained by the Common Council of the city of South Bend. -
Section 1.
That the action of the Board of Public Works, acting as
a Board of Water Trustees for the city of South Bend under date
of May 17, 1935 in passing and approving the attached resolution;.,
marked Exhibit A, and which action of the Board of Public 7Torks
was duly confirmed by the Public Service Commission of Indiana
in the following order, as shown in Exhibit B, attached herewith,
be ratified and in all things confirmed.
Section 2.
That the City Controller of the city of South Bend be auth-
orized, to receive said sum of money and deposit same in the
General Fund of the cite of South Bend; and that the Controller
be authorized and directed to remove from the obligation of in-
debtedness as shown on the records of the civil city of South Bend
the sum representing the indebtedness to the Water 'Vorks in the
sum of $349,262.96 as of April 30, 1935.
Section 3.
That the Board of Public Works acting as Water Works
Trustees of the city of South Bend be authorized and directed to
make such transfers and cokkeetions of the records of said Water
Works to conform with the terms of the resolution attached hereto.
Section 4.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and signature by the Mayor.
