AN ORDINANCE AT &LADING ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COR+II!ION COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BIND,
Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2571, which was an
amendment to Section 37 (a) of Article III of Ordinance No.2243, be amended
to read as follows:
"Fees for Permits. The fees charged for the issuing of permits
by the Building Department, not otherwise provided for in this
Code, shall be paid at the time the permit is issued and shall
be as follows:
For Buildings of Type 1 the fee shall be 30 cents for each
1,000 cubic feet, plus $1.00.
For buildings of Tupes 2, 3, and 4 the fee shall be 25 cents
for each 1,000 cubic feet, plus $1.00.
For buildings of Type 5 the fee shall be 25 cents for each 100
square feet of usable floor area, plus $1.00.
For open shelter sheds the fee shall be S cents for each 100
square feet of ground area, plus ;$1.00.
For furnace, boiler and boiler burner installations the fee
shall be $g.00.
�P -V,Vy `er roof repaiWhe fee shall be 75V for each $500.00, or
fractional part thereof of the cost of said repair.
For alterations and repairs not otherwise provided for, for tanks,
platforms, stacks and other miscellaneous building not included in
the preceding schedule, the fee shall be 75 cents for each $500.00
or fraction of the cost.
The fee for wrecking operations shall be $2.00 unless the permit
to erect new building on the site of the building to be wrecked is
taken out at the same time as the wrecking permit, in which event
there will be no fee for the wrecking permit.
The fee for change of classification of building shall be 50 cents.
The fee for permit to install elevator shall be $5.00.
The fee for permit for signs, signboards and billboards shall be
at the rate of 75 cents for each 25 lineal feet or fraction thereof.
The fee for permit for banner signs shall be $1.00 each.
The fee for the, construction of sky signs shall be $10.00 for the
first 500 square feet or fraction thereof, and two cents for each
additional square foot above 500 on the readable side.

The fee for permit to move any building as provided herein
is $10.00 except that fee for wagon move as hereinafter provided
shall be $1.00.
The fees herein provided for shall not include permits for
plumbing, heating or electric wiring covered by separate ordinances
or other sections hereof.
Where a person sball unlawfully proceed to do any work or con-
struction covered by this ordinance without permit to do so, the
above mentioned permit fees shall be increased 50% as a penalty,
and thepayment of such penalty shall not release the person in
default from any other penalties hereafter provided.

'Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its enactment and legal publication.
