S, the Co=on Council of the City of Sout'_n Bend,
Indiana appropriated in the 1540 budget for said City, the sur:? of
Taelve Thousand Five iurde o 1 ., ;12,500.00) Dollars for the
purchase of new equipment for the South Bend ='ire Department,
LEAS, it v;as intended that said money be used for the
purchase of a 1250 val lon riotori zed pumper,

Truce i ?o. 2 was involved in a collision, and as a result of v, :ich, the
chassis of said truck was damaged beyond repair, and it was necessary
to ? archase a nerr chassis at a cost of Yineteen i'urdred Seventy &
YO/100 (t, 1970.00) Dollars, which sure was deducted from the Twelve
Thousand Five Hmdred ?. 170 /100 (' 12,500.00) Dollars appropriated for
cpe purc' - -ase of ne *., equi_omert in the 104-0 bud Get, and
WHI'R AS, the :Board of Public udor.�s and Safety has advertised
for,and received bids on a 1250 Callon pumper, w'__ich is needed by the
Fire Department, and the lowest bid received in accordance with the
sx,ecifications adonted,by the Board was Twelve Thousand Four riundred
cc 25 /100 (:;x12,4 -00.25) Dollars, and because of the purchase of the new
chassis, as above descr i eed, the Fire De-oartr'!ent T'ew i;qulpl":le nt ''�.LYI.d

having sufficient funds to purchase said pumper, and

C;ty of South Bend, Indiana,
SICTION I
That the simi of M�'rteen and -red Seventy 25/100 (;11,870.25)
Dollars be appropriated from the General Fund of the City of South
:end, Indiana, to the Fire Depart»ient ';;ui_omer_t Fund, known as
Budgetary Item No. Q -17 -A,
