An ordinance amending ordinance No. 3324 adopted by the Common
Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, June 24, 1940 and
comr:only Down as the ?. -ilk Ordinance.
Be it ordained by the Core:on Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana:
SZCTIOIV 1: That the License Provision of Sedtion 3a of ordinance
3324 be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows;
License Provision - It shall be unlawful for any dairy,
or any retail or wholesale distributor to sell or deliver milk or milk
products in the City of South Bend without first obitaining a license to
operate such a business and also a license for each vehicle used for the
purpose of distributing or delivering said milk or milk products. Upon
recommendation of the Board of Health, the city controller shall issue a
license to such dairy, or any retail or wholesale distributor, upon the
payment of the following fees:
(a) For conducting a dairy or retail or wholesale distribution
business, the sum of $20.00 per year.
(b) -Tor each vehicle used in the retail or wholesale distribution
of milk or mil1rducts, f sum of 50 cents per year.

In the ev a` v ion of the provision of this ordinance,

by any such lie o' •dairy,§ retail or wholesale distributor, the city
controller may, evidence being presented and upon recommendation of
the Board of Health, revoke any license issued hereunder.
SUC'PIOST,y. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and legal -oublication.
