ORDINANCE No,� 3 3 to Y
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CHARGING OFF OF CER-
TAIN AMOUNTS FROM THE RECORDS OF THE CITY MATER
WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, the liquidation of the Union Trust Company
of South Bend, Indiana, has been completed and the final
dividend under such liquidation has been paid; and,
7.HEREAS, after such liquidation there was remain-
ing in such depository, representing the meter deposit of the
said Water Works, the amount of thirty -one thousand five
hundred twelve dollars and ninety -two cents ($31$512.92; and,
WUREAS, the State Board of Accounts of the Division
of Accounting and StAistics of the Department of Inspection
and Supervision of Public Offices of the State of Indiana
has authorized the foregoing amount to be charged from the
records of the said City Water Works;
NOW, THMFORE, be it ordained by the Common
Council of the city of South Bend, Indiana:
Section 1. That the proper officers and employees
of the city of South Bend, Indiana, are hereby authorized to
charge from the records of the City Water Works of said city
the amount of thirty -one thousand five hundred twelve dollars
and ninety -two cents ($31,512.92).
Section 2. That when this amount is charged
from the said records, the proper entries be made thereon
crediting the said meter deposit account with the said amount
and debiting the surplus account of said t'later Works in an
equal amount.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full
force and effect 2pon its passage by the Common Council and
lot 42nd READING .its roval by the mayor.
