AN ORDINANCE FOR THE EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION
OF $1,000.00 AND FOR THE TRANSFER THEREOF
FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND TO AN ACCOUNT KNOWN AS P22, BEING THE
MOTOR EQUIPMENT ACCOUNT OF THE POLICE DEPART-
MENT OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, the existing ambulance equipment of the
city of South Bend, Indiana, is obsolete and incapable of
proper repair; and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable and urgently necessary
that proper ambulance equipment be obtained by the city of
South Bend, Indiana, for the use of the Police Department
thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA; THAT:
Section 1. The amount of one thousand ($1,000.00)
dollars be, and the same is hereby specially transferred from
the General Fund of the City of South Bend to an account 1aOwn
as P22, being the Motor Equipment Account of the Police Do-
partment of the city of.South Benda Indiana, and the said
amount is hereby specially appropriated for the purpose of
purchasing an ambulance for the use of the Police Department
of the said city of South Bend.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council,
its legal publication and its approval by the Mayor of the
city of South Bend, together with the approval of the State
% Board of Tax Commissioners as provided by law,
