AN ORDINANCE FOR THE EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION
OF $10,000.00, AND FOR THE TRANSFER THEREOF
FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BENi.`a�
TO AN ACCOUNT KNOWN AS I -16A, BEING THE "OTHER
EQUIPMENT" ACCOUNT OF THE STREET DEPARTMENT OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.

WHEREAS, the existing equipment of the Street Department
of the City of South Bend, Indiana has become inadequate to
enable the said Department to fulfill its legal duties; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable and urgently necessary that
new equipment be obtained by the City of South Bend, Indiana for
the use by the Street Department thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend that:
Section 1:
The amount of 4510,000.00 be, and the same is hereby
specially transferred from the General Fund of the City of South

Bend, Indiana^to an Accour_t known as I -16A, being the "other
equipment" account of the Street Department of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, and the said amount is hereby specially appropriate
for the purpose of purchasing for the use of the Street Depar

Section 2
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Council, its legal publica.tiox
and its approval by the Mayor of the City of South Bend,: together
with the approval of the State Board of Tax Commissioners, as
provided by law.
