ORDINANCE NO.
WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary to protect
the health and safety of the inhabitants of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, and to protect the value of property in the City of
South Bend, Indiana; and
WHEREAS, in order to effectuate such purpose and

(desire, it becomes necessary to annex the contiguous territory
;;hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That:
Section 1•
The following described contiguous territory and
land in St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, be, and the same is
hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of South Bend,
jiIndiana, and the boundaries of said City are hereby extended to
;include the said property:
"Beginning,on the present South city limits line
at a point eleven hundred fifty -five and seven
tenths feet (1155.71) East of the West line of
Section 19, Township 37 North, Range 3 East,
being the Southwest corner of Lot 133 Ridgedale
4th Addition; thence South at right angles to
said city limits line a distance of three
!� hundred and sixty feet (360•) to a point; thence
iEast along a line three hundred and sixty
feet (360') South of and parallel to said city
limits line to a point due South of the Southeast
corner of Lot 168 Ridgedale 4th Addition; thence
North to the Southeast corner of said Lot 168;
i thence West along said South city limits line
to the Southwest corner of said Lot 133;Ridgedale
4th Addition, the place of beginning."
Section 2•
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Council, -df� -by the Mayor
and its legal publication.
