AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TAX LEVY FOR THE YEAR 1942
FOR THE MUNICIPAL CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
Section 1. Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana:
That there be and hereby is levied the following amounts for
the year 1942 on each one Hundred Dollars (1.1 00.00) of assessed
valuation of property in the City of South Bend, Indiana, as fixed
by the officers of St. Joseph County, and the State of Indiana, for
the objects named:
Section 2. There shall be levied a Poll Tax of Fifty Cents (x.50)
on every male inhabitant of said City, sane and not a pauper, of the
age of Twenty -One years and not over the age of Fifty years.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the b4ayor.
