AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE -
$Y'HE BOARD OF WATER WORKS TRUSTEES
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND INDIANA
OF CERTAIN REAL ESTATE.
WHEREAS, certain departments of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, either now require or will soon require additional
space for their efficient operation; and,
WHEREAS, the Water Works of the City of Solith Bend
will require additional space for its efficient operation; and,
WHEREAS, a certain piece of real estate hereinafter
described,Neontiguous to property now owned by the City of South
Bend and used by it as its City Fall; and,
WHEREAS, it is possible for the Water Works of the
City of South Bend to obtain such contiguous land at an advantageous
price,
NOW, TIiEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by t he Common Council
of the City of South Bend, that:
1. The Board of Water Works Trustees of
the City of South Bend, Indiana, is hereby authorized to
purehase the real estate owned and described as -
All of Lot 8 of the original plat
of the City of South Bend-, excepting
the North 22 feet thereof,
in accordance with the terms of a purchase agreement, a
copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.
2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by t heCommon Council and
its approval by the Mayor.
