AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND RATIFYING A
CERTAIN CONTRACT MADE AND ENTERED INTO
BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND
BY ITS BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY
AND KORTE BROS., INC.,. FOR THE PURCHASE
OF A STREET SWEEPER.
WHEREAS„ the Board of Public Works and Safety determined
that it would be advantageous to the City of South Bend to own an
additional street sweeper, and
WHEREAS, the specifications for such street sweeper were
prepared, and bids requested, and
WHEREAS,, only one bid was received, said bid being by
Korte Bros., Inc.,whereby, in accordance with the specifications,:
said company offered to sell.to the City of South Bend a used sweeper,
and
WHEREAS, the said bid was the only bid received„
Now, therefore,; be it;`ordained by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend` that ><
Section 3.' The contract made and entered into between the
City of South Bend by the Board of Public Works and Safety and Xorte
Bros., Inc. for the purchase of one street sweeper at a price of
$3575 be, and the same is hereby, ratified.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and its
approval by the Mayor.
