WHEREAS, the United States of America is now at war, and WHEREAS, tin is a very vital war material, and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the immediate preservation of all Food Product Tin Cans for conversion into vital war materials; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend thaaat: / ro r al + tw f O dt � ` �l /�r ej et, �o Mf/It' S �� SECTION 1 /,It all be unlawful for any person in charge of, or worming upon or about any public trash and /or dump place knowingly to allow or permit the dumping of Food Product Tin cans (except condensed milk cans) on such trash or dump place. / f �° ,Per 7; u' N 0 /A-�r C rer_� Yrol /' f -� twrp-f�4 // t_ SECTION 2.- It hall b e unlaw 1 for any person knowingly to haute o�Frdauct Tin Cans (except condensed milk cans) over the streets of South Bend to any trash or dump place, whether public or private. SECTION 3 - Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance smell be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not less than Five Dollars (05.00) nor more than Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00), or by Imprisonment for not more than one hundred eighty days (180), or by both such fine and imprisonment.
