ORDINANCE NO. 0
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1•
That the New York Central Railroad Company be, and it
is hereby, ordered and required to install within a perio oof sin
(6) months) after materials for the construction might be obtained
with the approval of the War Production Board, and maintain there-
after the latest improved automatic flashlight signals and auto-
matic shortarm gates at Arnold Street crossing with its main line
tracks in the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Section 2•
That any person, firm, company or corporation viola
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined for each
and every offense not less than Ten ($10.00) Dollars nor more than
One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars; and each day's violation shall be
considered a separate and distinct offense and shall be punished
accordingly.
Section 3•
That ordinances numbered 1655 and 2199 of the Muni
Ordinances of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and all other
ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
repealed on and as of the day and date said installation provided
for in Section 1 is actually made.
Section 4:
This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its
passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor and its
legal publication.
