WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary to protect
the health and safety of the inhabitants of the City of
South
Bend,
Indiana,
and to
protect
the value of property
in the
City
of South
Bend,
Indiana;
and
WHEREAS, in order to effectuate such purpose and

desire, it becomes necessary to annex the contiguous territory
hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That:
Section 1:
The following described contiguous territory and land
in St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, be, and the same is
hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, and the boundaries of said City are hereby extended
to include the said property:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 168,
Ridgedale 4th Addition; thence South along
the present City limits a distance of Three
hundred and sixty feet (3601); thence East
and parallel with the present City limits a
distance of Right hundred ten and four tenths
feet (810.)}1) to the North and South center
line of Section 19, Township 37 North, Range
3 East; thence due North a distance of Three
hundred and sixty feet (3601) to the present
City limits; thence West along said City
limits a distance of Eight hundred ten and
four tenths (810.4.1) feet to place of begApning,
which is the Southeast corner of Lot 168,
Ridgedale 4th Addition.
Section 2:
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Co cil
