ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE FOR THE EXTENSION AND OPENING OF THIRTIETH
STREET FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF THE RIGHT- OF-WAY OF THE
GRAND TRUNK WESTERN RAILROAD COMPANY TO THE NORTH LIN
OF THE RIGHT- OF -WAY OF `PI'±E GRAND TRUNK WESTERN RAIL -
ROAD C011PAITf, AND PROVIDING FOR THE PAVING OF THE
ROADWAY.
Section 1. Be it ordained by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that Thirtieth Street in
the City of South Bend be opened and extended North from the
South line of the right -of -way of the Grand Trunk Western
Railroad Company's right -of -way to the North line of the
right -of -way of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company's
right- of- way.the width of sixty (601) feet from East to West.
Section 2. That it shall be the duty of the
Grand Trunk WesRern Railroad Company to pave the roadway
between its tracks and to a distance of not less than eigh-
teen (18 ") inches North and South of its tracks to a width
of thipty (30') feet, with planking or asphalt or concrete
or such materials as the City Engineer may direct and shall
conform to the grade of the tracks as they now exist.
Section 3, This ordinance shall be in full
force from and after its passage and legal publication.
