AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TAX LEVY FOR ]HE YFAR 1944.
FOR THE 1,AUNICIPAL CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
Section 1. Be It Ordained by the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana:
That there bg and hereby is levied the following amounts
for the year 1944 on each
One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)
of assessed
valuation' of property in
the City of South Bend, Indiana., as
fixed by the officers of
the St. Joseph County and the
State of
Indiana, for the objects

Section 2. There shall be levied a Poll Tax of Fifty Cents ($ .50) on
every male inhabitant of said City, sane and not a pauper, of the age
of Twenty - one years and not over the age of Fifty years.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
