Agenda: Bill 02 -15 Ignition Park Rezoning
With a quorum present the Zoning & Annexation Committee was called to order by Chairman Oliver
Davis.
Bill 02 -15 was the only item on the agenda. This bill essentially annexes a portion of land north of
Indiana Avenue between Kemble and Scott streets to Ignition Park.
Chairman Davis called upon Angela Smith from the Area Plan Commission (APC) for the APC"s
disposition. Angela gave a brief description of the parcel noting the APC had forwarded a favorable
recommendation.
Mike Danch, representing this City initiated action, made the presentation more fully describing the
property to be rezoned and annexed. The diagram he provided is attached.
During the Council portion of the public hearing Valerie Schey made a point of saying the property was
owned by the Redevelopment Commission and would not require further Council action. Oliver Davis
urged that adjacent property owners be kept abreast of future development.
On motions by Derek Dieter and Valerie Schey which were affirmed by all the bill received a favorable
recommendation.
