me uding the constructi of ice kating rinks, during the
cal ndar year 1944), and,
'NHERE?,S, the Department of Public Parks of the City of
j South Bend, Indiana, is now without sufficient funds with which to
meet the necessary expenditures hereinbefore set forth during the
balance of the calendar yoar of 1944, and,
FIHMEAS, an emergency now exists in respect to these
items,
NOW BE IT ORDAINED, by the Cormon Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana,
Section 1. That the sum of Tcrenty -three Hundred 02,300.00)
Dollars be appropriated from the Park Maintenance Fund of the Depart-
ment of Public Barks of the City of South Bend, to the Services
Personal Account of the Department of Public Parks (known as Account
No. 12 for temporary employees) of the 1944 Budget of the Department
of Public Parks of the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Section 2. That the sum of Five Hundred (,$500.00) Dollars
be appropriated from the Park Maintenance Fund of the Department of
Public Parks of the City of South Bend, Indiana, to the Services
Contractual Account of the Department of Public Parks (known as
Account No. 26 for medical and hospital expenses) of the 1944
Budget of the Department of Public Parks of the City of South
Bend, Indiana.
Section 3. That the sum of Six Hundred ($600.00) Dollars
be appropriated from the Park Maintenance Fund of the Department of
Public Parks of the City of South Bend, Indiana, to the Supplies
Account of the Department of Public Parks (known as Account No.
331 for gasoline in the amount of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars
and Account No. 383 for zoo feed in the amount of Five Hundred
($500.00) Dollars) of the 1944 Budget of the Department of Public
Parks of the City of South Bend, Indiana
Sectioxr4. That the sum of Three Hundred Eighty —six
($386.00) Dollars be appropriated from the Park Maintenance Fund
of the Department of Public Parks of the City of South Bend, Indiana,
to the Materials Account of the Department of Public Parks (known
as Account No, 43 for drives and walks in the amount of One Hundred
Eighty —six ($186.00) Dollars, and Account No. 45 for repair parts
and equipment in the amount of Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars) of
the 1944 Budget of the Department of Public Parks of the City of
South Bend, Indiana.
Section 5. That the sum of Four Hundred Fifty— ($450.00)
Dollars be appropriated from the Park Maintenance Fund of the De-
partment of Public Parks of the City of South Bend, Indiana, to the
Properties Account of the Department of Public Parks (known as
buildings and fixed equipment) of the 1944 Budget of the Department
of Public karks of the City of South Bend, Indiana.
Section 6. That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
