ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2331
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMAON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF,SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 2331, which is known as
the "Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend ", be amended
by changing the zoning classification of the following lots in
the city of South Bend described as follows, to -wit:
Lot Number One Hundred Eighty -four (184) and Lot
Number One Hundred Eighty -five (185), second plat
of Park Place Addition to the City of South Bend,
Indiana.
from "B" Residential District to "C" Commercial District and
from "B" Height and Area District to "D" Height and Area
District.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
from and after its enactment, approval by the Mayor, and legal
publication.

meeting of the Council the following matter was referred to you for appropriate disposal or for specific action
as indicated:
To The Common Council of the City of South Bend.
Gentlemen:
Petition for change of zoning classification of lots #184 and 185, in Park
Place, 2nd Add, which lots are at the South East Corner of N. Eddy St., and
Chalfant St., was considered by the City Plan Commission, at their regular
meeting Aug. 1, 1946.
This change is not recommended.

Councilman Richardson made a motion that this report be returned to the City
Plan Commission for further consideration. co•.mcilman Niezgodaki seconded the
motion. Motion carried.

COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, IND
We, CHES'T'ER E. HAWX and MABEL A. HAWK, husband and wife,
state we are the owners of Lot Number One Hundred Eighty -four (184,
and Lot Number One Hundred Eighty -five (185), Second Flat of Park
Place Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana; and that said
property is located on the South east corner of Eddy Street and
Chalfant Street in the City of South Bend, Indiana, and that said
real estates are in "B" use Districe and "B" Height and Area Dis-
trice pursuant to Ordinance No. 2331, which is known as the
ordinance of the City of South Bend."
Petitioners herein are desirous that said ordinance be
amended by changing the zoning classification of the above des-
cribed lots from "B" residential district to "C" Commercial dis-
trict and from "B" Height and Area District to "D" Height and
Area District.
WHEREFORE, petitioners herein respectfully pray and
ask the Honorable Members of the Common Council of the City of
South Bend, Indiana to amend ordinance No. 2331 which is known
as the "zoning ordinance of the City of South Bend," by changing
the zoning classification of the above described lots from "B"
residential district to "C" commercial district and from "B"
