AN ORDINANCE A142,4DING ORDINANCE NO. 2331,
CONMONLY KNOW AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, that:
1. The zoning classification of Lots Numbered 187, 1880
and 189 in the original plat of the Town, now City, of South Bend,
which is now zoned "B" Residence District, be and the same hereby
is amended and changed to provide that said Lots Numbered 187, 188,
and 189 in the original plat of the Town, now City, of South Bend,
be zoned as "C" Commercial District.
2. The zoning classification of twenty -six (26t) feet of
the East side of Lot Numbered 17, together with Lots 18 and 19
Studebaker's Leeper Avenue Addition be, and the same is hereby amended
from "A" Residence District to "B" Residence District.
3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the
Mayor, and its legal publication.

meeting of the Council the following matter was referred to you for appropriate disposal or for specific action
as indicated:
PETITION:
I wish to request that Ordinance No. 2331, which is known as the "Honing Ordiasncs
of the City of South Bead ", be smanded by changing the zoning classification of the
following lots in the City of south Bead, described as followsi to -nits
Lots number (19),.seventeen, that is 28 ft. east side- number (18) eightomm and
number (19) Nineteen as sham on the recorded plat of Studebaker* Lesper Avems
Addition to the City of South Beal, St. Joseph County, Indiana,
from "A" Residential District to "B" Residential District, in order that I eight construct
a 4- family apartment building.

Councilmen Brannan made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Plan
Commissiono, Councilman Bishop seconded the motion. Notion carried.

The undersigned being the owners of the following described real estate located in the
City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, respectfully petition that said property
be restated at a Class 0 Commercial Area so that s aid real estate shall be adapted for
the uses permitted by and under said area classification and aubjsot to the restrictions
appertaining thereto. Said real estate is described as Lot numbered One hundred
Rightp -Hine (189) as- shougt on the Original Plat of the Tom now City of South Bend.
It is the desire of the undersigned to utilise add property far purposes consistent
with the classification herein petitioned for.

PETITION FOR THE RECLASSIFICATION OF
REAL ESTATE AND AN AMENDMENT TO THE
ZONING ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND WHICH SAID ORDINANCE IS MORE
PARTICULARLY KNOWN AS ORDINANCE NO. 2331.
TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA:
The undersigned being the owners of the following
described real estate located in the City of South Bend, St.
Joseph County, Indiana, respectfully petition that said
property be rezoned as a Class C Commercial Area so that said
real estate shall be adapted for the uses permitted by and
under said area classification and subject to the restrictions
appertaining thereto. Said real estate is described as Lot
numbered One Hundred Eighty -nine (189) as shown on,the Original
Plat of the Town now City of South Bend.
It is the desire of the,undersigned to utilize said
property for purposes consistent.with the classification
herein petitioned for.
