A
'(MMEAS, certain budgetary accounts of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, in the budget for the calendar year 1946 are insufficient to
fulfill the demands of the operation of the departments because of price
increases, and
T.MFT,AS, the Police Department is required to change its radio
equipment to a new type and funds are required for that change.
idOW, TtEREFORE, BE IT OP.DADM by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend, Indiana, that:
1. There be and there is hereby transferred from the following
indicated budgetary accounts to the General Fund of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, the amounts set opposite each:
P11 Salaries $13,435.00
Q11 Salaries 650.00
W11 Salaries 500.00
2. There be and there is hereby appropriated from the General
Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the uses and purposes of the
following budgetary accoantsthe amount set opposite each.

3. The Common Council finds the existence of an emergency requiring
the appropriations of the fandsas aforesaid.
4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor and
the fulfillment of all statutory requirements relating to emergency
appropriations.
