This ordinance is amendatory of Ordinance No.
2331, adopted by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana on July 25, 1923, commonly known as the
"Zoning Ordinance."
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the
City of South Bend:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 2331 of the
City of South Bend, Indiana, otherwise known as the
,Zoning Ordinance, be and it hereby is amended as follows,
to wit:
That the following described real estate here -
tofore classified as A Residential Use District be and
the same is hereby reclassified and rezoned as a Class D
Light Industrial Use District, and shall hereafter be
subject to all regulations and restrictions affecting
real estate zoned for Class D Light Industrial Use as
defined by Section 6 of said Ordinance No. 2331; such
property being the following described real estate located
in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of
Indiana, to wit.
Beginning at a point that is 480 feet
East of the nest boundary line of
Section No. 2, Township 37 North,
Range 2 East and 400 feet South of
the South line of Elwood Avenue; thence
East on a line parallel with the South
line of said Elwood Avenue a distance
of 495 feet; thence South on a line
parallel with the West boundary line
of said Section No. 2, Township 37
North, Range No. 2 East a distance of
321 feet; thence West on a line parallel
with the South line of said Elwood Avenue,
a distance of 495 feet; thence North to
the place of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the aforesaid real
estate be and it hereby is changed from A Height and Area
District to F Height and Area District and that said real
estate shall hereafter be subject to all the regulations
of Section 15 of said Ordinance No. 2331.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage by the Common
Council and its approval in writing by the Mayor.
