AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND SEVEN
HUNDRED FIFTY ($1,750.00) DOLLARS, FROM ACCOUNT NUMBER
P -11, SALARIES, POLICE DEPARTMENT, TO ACCOUNT NUMBER P -23
INSTRUCTIONS, POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND THE SUM OF THREE
HUNDRED FIFTY ($350.00) DOLLARS, FROM ACCOUNT NUMBER
Z -62, CURRENT CHARGES, POLICE PENSION FUND, TO ACCOUNTT
NUMBER Z -119 SALARY, POLICE PENSION FUND; AND THE SUM
OF THREE HUNDRED FIFTY ($350.00) DOLLARS, FROM ACCOUNT
NUMBER Y -62, CURRENT CHARGES, FIREI11EN'S PENSIONN FUND TO
ACCOUNT NUMBER Y -11, SALARY, FIREMEN'S PENSION FUND, AND
DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY.
BE I'T ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
BEND, INDIANA:
Section 1. That the following money be, and the same hereby
is, transferred from account number P -11, Salaries,.Police Depart-
ment, to, and is appropriated for the uses and purposes of the
following budgetary item in the budget of the Police Department of
the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the year 1949, to -wit:
Police Department:
Account number P -23, Instructions, $1,750.00
Section 2. That the following money be, and the same hereby
is, transferred from account number Z -62, Current Charges, Police
Pension Fund, to, and is appropriated for the uses and purposes of
the following budgetary item in the budget of the Police Pension
Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the year 1949, to -wit
Police Pension Fund:
Account number Z -11, Salary, $ 350.00
Section 3. That the following money be, and the same hereby
is, transferred from account number Y -62, Current Charges, Firemen
Pension Fund, to, and is appropriated for the uses and purposes of
the following budgetary item in the budget of the Firemen's Pensio.
Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the year 1949, to -wit
Firemen's Pension Fund:
Account number Y -11, Salary, 350.00
Section 4. That the above sums of money are required for th
proper operation and function of the aforementioned Departments of
the Government of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and an extra-
ordinary emergency is declared to exist concerning the foregoing
transfers and appropriations.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, its
approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all the statutory
requirements relating to extraordinary emergency appropriations.
