ORDINANCE NO. 3997
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, that:
1. The following monies be, and the same are hereby, transferred
from the general fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana, to and are
appropriated for the uses and purposes of the following budgetary items in
the budget of said City for the year 1947, to -wit: To Police Department - P726
Q726
Other Equipment, 75,000.00; to Fire Department /- Other Equipment, X1200.00.
2. The above funds are repaired in order to purchase necessary
equipment for the proper operation and function of the aforementioned
departments, and an emergency is declared to exist concerning each of the
foregoing transfers and appropriations.
3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor, and the ful-
fillment of all statutory requirements relating to emergency appropriations.
