ORDINANCE NO. 2S$1
MEREAS, certain budgetary accounts of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, in the budget for the calendar year 1946 are insufficient to fulfill
the demands of the operation of the departments because of price increases,
and other needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAMLD by the Common Council of the City
of South Bend, Indiana, that:
1. There be and there is hereby transferred from the following
indicated budgetary accounts to the General Fund of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, the amounts set opposite each:
S -251 -B Repairs to Bridges $2000.00
S -38 General Supplies 50.00
2. There be and there is hereby appropriated from the General Fund
of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the uses and purposes of the following
budgetary accou.As, the amount set opposite each:
Street Department
3-43 Street and Alley Materials $2000.00
3-36 Office Supplies 50.00
S -333 Tires & Tubes 500.00
S -334 Other Garage and hotor Supplies 300.00
Engineering Department
L-252 Repairs of Equipment 50.00
Fire Department
Q -216 Travel Expense $100.00
Q -252 Repairs to Equipment 600.00
Q -251 Repairs to Buildings 600.00
Board of Yorks & Safety
H -214 Telegraph & Telephone 300.00
Police Department
P -252 Repairs to Equipment 800.00
P -333 'Tires & Tubes 200.00
Dog Pound
K -252 Repairs to Equipment 75.00
3. The Common Council finds the existence of an emergency requiring
the appropriations of the funds as aforesaid.
4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the Mayor and
the :fulfillment of all statutory requirements relating to emergency
appropriations.
