GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, OF THE
FOLLOWING AMOUNTS TO THE FOLLOWING INDICATED ACCOUNTS OF THE

Whereas, certain budgetary accounts of the City of Sout4 Bend, Indiana,
in the budget for the calendar year of 1947, were insufficient to pay for the
materials and services required by and furnished to the City during the said
year of 1947, as it appears from the claims filed with the City since January
1st, 1948; and
Whereas., the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, has made a full and complete check and investigation of the aforementioned
olaims; and said Board has found that the materials and services as represented
by the aforesaid claims were required by and supplied and furnished to said City
during the year 1947; now, therefore
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana,
that:
Section 1. There be and there is hereby appropriated from the General Fund
of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the uses and purposes, of paying the claims
referred to in the preamble of this Ordinance, of the following budgetary accounts,
the amount set opposite eaoh:

Section 2. There be and there is hereby appropriated from the General
Street and Traffic Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for the uses and
purposes, of paying the claims referred to in the preamble of this Ordinance,
of the following budgetary accounts, the amount set opposite each:

Section 39 The Common Council finds the existence of an emergency requiring
the appropriations of the funds as aforesaid.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in Rill force and effeit from and
after its passage by the Common "Council, its approval by the Mayor, and the
fulfillment of all statutory requirements relating to emergency appropriations*
