AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 3702
PASSED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL JUNE 139 1949
AND COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE.
Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana:
Section 1, That Ordinance No. 3702 be and the same is hereby
amended as it applies to property situated in the City of South
Bend and described as followss-
Lots No. 50 and 51 in Whiteman's First Addition and
Lots No. 55, 56, 57, 589 879 90, 94 and 95 in Prairie
Avenue Heights Addition together with unplatted land
lying on the south side of Prairie Avenue from the west
line of Lot No. 95 in Prairie Avenue Heights Addition
south westerly to a .line which is the prolongation of the
west line of Grant Street,
changing the zoning of this property from C Commercial and D Height
and Area Districts to B Residence and A Height and Area Districts.
Section 2, This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after, its passage and legal publication.

Gentlemen:-
The accompanying Ordinance for the Change of Zoning on the pro-
perty described on Prairie Avenue was initiated in the City
Plan Commission to supplement changes made by Ordinance No. 3808,
Public Hearing hasbeen held on this proposed change and the
City Plan Commission recommends it to the Common Council for
enactment. The property described in this ordinance for pre-
, liminary resident property and the change is to make the zoning
agree with the occupancy.
