ORDINANCE NO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA: THAT,
1. Ordinance No. 3.702 of the Ordinances of the City of South Bend, Indiana,
be, and the same is hereby amended to provide the indicated zoning of the
following area, to-wit:
The West One -half (1/2) of the
Northwest Quarter of Section Nine (9),
Township Thirty -seven (37) North, Range
Two (2) East, as annexed to the City of
South Bend by Ordinance No. 3740.
(a) Section 1 of Garden Village 3rd Unit to be zoned
A Residence and A Height and Area District.
(b) Section 2 of Garden Village 3rd Unit, and that
portion of Garden Village 2nd Unit which lies West
of the North and South centerline of the Northwest
Quarter of the aforementioned Section Nine (9), to
be zoned B Residence and B Height and Area District.
(c) Section 3 of Garden Village 3rd Unit to be zoned
C Commercial and E Height and Area District.
2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the fulfillment of all legal requirements applicable to such ordinances.

Gentlemen: -
'ihe area annexed to the City by Ordinance 3740, being an 80 acre tract
north of Western Avenue to Linden Avenue and West of Gladstone Street
has not yet been zoned.
The accompanying ordinance for zoning this area was given public hearing
by the.City Plan Commission July 6, 1950 and is recommended for passage
by your body.
