AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana:
Section 1.
That Ordinance No. 3702, adopted by the Common Council
of the City of South Bend, Indiana, on the 13th day of June, 1949,
and commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is
hereby amended as follows, to -wit:
That the property situate in the City of South Bend, Indiana,
and described as follows, to-wit:
Lot Numbered 20 as shown on the
recorded Plat of Sommers Addition
to the City of ,South Bend,
be changed from "B" Residence and "A" Height and Area District
to "C° Commercial and "E" Height and Area District.
No other provision save and except as to the tracts herein
bounded and described shall be changed hereby.
Section 2.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and legal publication.

Petition to rezone Lot 20 as shown on the recorded Plat
of Sommers Addition from "B" Residence and "A" Height and
Area District to "C" Commercial and "E" Height and Area
District. Councilman Hahn seconded the motion. Motion
carried.

Petitioners, MORRIS B. HOFFMAN and REUBEN HOFFMAN,
by their attorneys, Voor, Jackson, Grant & McMichael, respectfully
petition that Ordinance No. 3702, adopted by the Common Council on
the 13th day of June, 1949, and commonly known as the Zoning Ordin.

Petitioners further state that they are the owners of all of the
above-described property.
Petitioners further state that they have attached hereto a form
of ordinance for the convenience, use and approval of the Common
Council of the City of South Bend.
WHEREFORE, petitioners respectfully request that the Common
Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, accept and act favorably upon
their said petition and that the property herein described be, by proper
ordinance, duly passed and legally published, changed from "B"
Residence and "A" Height and Area District, to "C" Commercial and
"E" Height and Area District.
