AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE
Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
Indiana:
Section 1.
That Ordinance No. 3702, adopted by the Common Council of
the City of South Bend, Indiana, on the 13th day of June, 1949, and commonly
known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended as follows,
to -wit:
That the property situate in the City of South Bend, Indiana, and
described as follows, to -wit:
Lots Numbered One (1), Two (2) and
Three (3) as shown on the recorded
plat of Hartman and Woodworth's
Addition, in the City of South Bend,
be changed from "B" Residence and "A" Height and Area District to "D" Light
Industrial and "D" Height and Area District.
No other provision save and except as to the tracts herein bounded and
described shall be changed hereby.
Section 2.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and legal publication.

Gentlemen: -
Petition of Seven -Up Bottling Company by Robert A. Grunt, for change
of zoning of Lots Numbered 1, 2 and 3 in Hartman and Woodworth's
Addition from "B" Residential and A Height and areh districts to
"D" Light Industrial and D height and area district has been given
public hearing before the City Plan Commission at a Special Meeting
June 12, 1952.
This change is recommended to the Council.

Petition to rezone Lots eKnd 4 as shown on the

in the City of South Bend, from "B" Residence and
"A" Height and Area District to "C" Commercial and
"D" Height and Area District.
Councilman Bestle made a motion that the petition
be referred to the City Plan Commission. Councilman
Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Petitioner, Seven -Up Bottling Company, Inc., South Bend, by its
attorneys, Voor, Jackson, Grant & McMichael, respectfully petitions that
Ordinance No. 3702, adopted by the Common Council on the 13th day of
June, 1949, and commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, be amended as
follows, to -wit:
That the property situate in the City of South Bend, Indiana, and
described as follows, to -wit:
Lots Numbered One (1), Two (2),
and Three (3) as shown on the

Petitioner further states that said corporation is the owner of all of
the above - described property.
Petitioner further states that he has attached hereto a form of ordinance
for the convenience, use and approval of the Common Council of the City of
South Bend.
WHEREFORE, petitioner respectfully requests that the Common Council
of the City of South Bend, Indiana, accept and act favorably upon his said
petition and that the property herein described be, by proper ordinance duly
passed and legally published, changed from "B" Residence and "A" Height and
Area District to "D" Light Industrial and "D" Height and Area District.
