RESOLUTION NO. ZS 2,3— 00
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA, COMMENDING JOHN HOSINSKI FOR HIS 4 YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE AS
A COUNCIL MEMBER AT LARGE
WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council acknowledges that John Hosinski is completing
his fourth year as a Council Member at Large; and
WHEREAS, during his term on the Common Council, Council Member Hosinski displayed
particular attention to detail as evidenced by his special attention to matters of "miscellany" coming
before various Council Committees, as well as the Council as a whole; and
WHEREAS, some of Council Member Hosinski's activities included serving as a conscientious
Chairperson of the Zoning and Annexation Committee and serving as the Vice - President of the
Common Council;
WHEREAS, Council Member Hosinski will be remembered for his efforts to ease the parking
restrictions in the East Bank area so that future economic development could take place, as well as his
successful efforts in promoting the furthering the "Bonnie Hosinski" Leeper Park sidewalk project;
and
WHEREAS, Council Member Hosinski will also be remembered for his keen sense of wit and
humor, and his sincere efforts to assure that the concerns of all residents and promoters of the City
of South Bend had the opportunity to be heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
Indiana, as follows:
Section I. On behalf of all the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana, the Common Council
thanks JOHN HOSINSKI for his four (4) years of service as a Council Member at Large for the City
of South Bend.
Section II. The Common Council wishes John continued success in his law career and the very
best to his wife, Bonnie, and their growing family.
Section III. The Common Council is especially proud to see that Council Member Hosinski
has continued the Hosinski family tradition of public service by following in the footsteps of his father,
Judge William Hosinski, and his grandfather, Sheriff William "Big Bill" Hosinski.
Section IV. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption by the
Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
