HomeMy WebLinkAboutAppropriating from the State Cigarette Tax Highway Distribution Fund $45,814.06 for Repair & Maintenance of Hwys, Streets and Alleys of the City of South BendORDINANCE No. 3647 Passed by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, mr Presented by me to the Mayor of the City of South Bend, JUNE 29TH_ ig�/ a Clerk Of Common Council Approved and signed by Clerk ORDINANCE NO* AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FROM THE STATE CIGARETTE TAX HIGHffAY DISTRIBUTION FUND THE SUM OF FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FOURTEEN DOLLARS AND SIX CENTS ($458,814608) FOR REPAIR AND MAT NTENANCE OF HIGHWAYS, STREETS AND ALLEYS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY* BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that bye reason of the distribution by the State of Indiana of a portion of the Cigarette Tax Fund to this Municipality in the sum of $450814 *069 and by reason of the fact that the streets and alleys and their appurtenances of this Municipality are in poor repair and are constantly deteriorating and require immediate attention and an emergency now exists for the expenditure of more money therefor during the current year than was set out in the published budget and in the budget adopted for the current year an emergency exists for the making of additional appropriations therefor* BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that there should be and is hereby appropriated from said monies so received from the State of Indiana for the following purposes, to -wit: 1.
