BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South
Bend, Indiana, that:
1. The following money be, and the same hereby is, trans-
ferred from the General Fund of the City of South Bend, Indiana,
to and is appropriated for the uses and purposes of the following
budgetary item in the budget of the said City of South Bend for
the year 1948, to -wit: To D -11, Services Personal, Office of
the City Treasurer, for Cashier in the Barrett Law Department,
$900.00.
2. The above money is required for the proper operation and
function of the aforenamed department and an emergency is de-

3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the
Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements relating
to emergency appropriations.
