AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FROM THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND PARK
MAINTENANCE FUND THE SUM OF $125.00 TO ACCOUNT NO. 381, SPRAY-
ING ?MATERIAL AND FERTILIZER, PARK DEPARTMENT; ALSO TRANSFERRING
THE SUM OF $10,675.00 FROM ACCOUNT NO. 43, DRIVES AND WALKS,
PARK DEPARTMENT, TO THE FOLLOWING ACCOUNTS IN THE AMOUNT IN-
DICATED: ACCOUNT NO. 11, LABOR, SERVICES TEMPORARY, 01,500.00;
ACCOUNT NO. 2610 OTHER CONTRACTUAL SERVICES, $400.00; ACCOUNT
NO. 332, OIL, $100.00; ACCOUNT N0. 442, PARK MAINTENANCE,
$400.00; ACCOUNT NO. 711, BUILDINGS AND FIXED EQUIPMENT, $7575.00;
AND ACCOUNT NO, 726, OTHER EQUIPMENT, $700.00, ALL IN PARK DEPART -
MENT, AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
Section 1. That the sum of $125.00 be, and the same hereby is ap-
propriated from the City of South Bend Park Maintenance Fund, to, and is
appropriated for the uses and purposes of the following budgetary item in
the budget of the Park Department of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for
the year 1949, to-wit-
Account No. 381 Spraying Material and Fertilizer $ 125.00
Section 2. That the following monies be, and the same hereby are
transferred, namely: $10,675.00 from Account No. 43, Drives and Walks,
Park Department, to and are appropriated for the uses and purposes of the
following budgetary items in the budget of the Park Department of the City
of South Bend, Indiana, for the year 1949, to -wit:

Section 3. That the sums of money, enumerated in Sections 1 and 2
of this Ordinance, are required for the proper and efficient operation and
function of the aforementioned Department of the Government of the City
of South Bend, Indiana, and an extraordinary emergency is declared to exist
concerning the foregoing appropriations and transfers.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage by the Common Council, its approval by the
Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements relating to extra-
ordinary emergency appropriations.
