The Diversity Compliance Officer has developed a way to gather and report data consisting of the inclusion and awards given to M /WBEs. This data expansion will help the City analyze its efforts to promote doing more business with M /WBEs in 2015. Diversity Utilization Board will receive training on February 16th. The training will include topics such as legal policies, data reporting, history of the ordinance, etc. All new board members will be required to receive this training. The Diversity Compliance Officer is initiating discussions with the majority vendors doing business with the City to support their "good faith" efforts by submitting data regarding hiring and employing minority and women staff. These discussions also include talking to majority contractors about subcontracting work to M /WBEs. On February 61h, there will be a workshop with majority contractors to address this issue. The Diversity Compliance Officer will discuss the City's goals for the use of M /WBEs in City projects.
