UNITY GARDENS THANK YOU
Dear Redevelopment Commissioners,
Tomorrow we close on the property at La Salle Square. Every new event, every Facebook post,
and every plant we sprouted has been enhanced by your generosity and public confidence in the
work of Unity Gardens.
For the first year ever, we have secured all the Indiana NAP tax credits through local donations -
also helped by the Commission voting to sell the property for $1. One new donor even said that
it was "obvious that Unity Gardens was successful -after all, the City wouldn't permanently
invest otherwise."
So many others congratulated us and, of course, the media also highlighted it. At a time when it
seems nobody can agree on any public policy, it seems we've had no dissention or concerns!
Thank you for helping our community grow.
