ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT MADE AND ENTERED INTO
ON BEHALF OF THE WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
INDIANA, BY ITS BOARD OF WATER WORKS COMMISSIONERS, AND
THE LAYNE NORTHERN COMPANY, INC., OF MISHAWAKA, INDIANA,
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF TWO COMPLETE WELLS, KNOWN AS
CONTRACT NO. 119 IN THE SUM OF $311,000.00.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana;
Section 1. That a certain contract, known as Contract No. 11, made
and entered into on May 2, 1949, by the South Bend Water Works of the
City of South Bend, Indiana, by and through its Board of Water Works
Commissioners, and the Layne Northern Company, Inc., of Mishawaka, Indiana,
in the sum of Thirty -Four Thousand ($311,000.00) Dollars, which is made
a part hereof and a copy of which is on file in the Office of the City
Clerk, be and the same is hereby in all things confirmed, ratified and
approved.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage by the Common Council and its approval by the Mayor.
