Dear Council Members:
Enclosed is a Resolution authorizing the Mayor to submit a grant application to the United States
Environmental Protection Agency for a Brownfields Cleanup Revolving Loan Fund grant. The
purpose of the grant is to capitalize a revolving loan fund that will be used for cleanup of
brownfield properties. The primary focus of this loan fund will be brownfield projects that are
part of our EPA Pilot Project on the Commercial Corridors as well as for properties located in the
Studebaker Corridor /Oliver Plow Works areas. The Brownfields Cleanup Revolving Loan Fund
program allows for grants of up to $1,000,000 and we are planning on submitting an application
for the maximum amount.
Please call me at 23 5-93 74 if you have any questions about the grant application or this
Resolution.
